What is Lumicon's goal?
Our goal is to help churches create a weekly post-modern matrix of media: film-style short video and animation, commercial-grade graphic art and integrated media including live presentation with graphics, music and video. These elements communicate the Gospel using contemporary and ancient metaphors and settings to interpret the biblical experience, one message at a time.
What is Lumicon?
Lumicon is a not-for-profit organization with the
mission of bringing the light of Christ into the
lives of people who live in a digital culture. As
a division of UMR Communications, Lumicon is built
on the UMR foundation of more than 150 years of
experience helping churches, church agencies and
other groups communicate their stories of ministry
and service.

What scriptures are used?
Most Lumicon Experiences are based on the Gospel lesson of The Revised Common Lectionary. More recent resources include experiences based on Old Testament or Epistle lessons.
Do you design by topic?
Most of our design work has begun with lectionary
texts, but realizing that many worship and Christian
education services start with a topic, we cross-referenced
our collection by topic.
